When I tried to start it up again, it went straight to a toshiba satellite pro c650 ethernet controller screen and read ‘No bootable device found – Insert boot disk and press any key’ I managed to enter BIOS and changed settings to default, saved, and rebooted, but no change, I aslo tried moving the order of th boot up so that LAN was last in the list I have heard that it may be trying to boot from LAN but no change either, controllwr just reads ‘for atheros pcie ethernet controller v2.

If so do I need a new hard drive? Or buy a new hdd? So this could mean that the hard drive is corrupt?
The question is, is this the solution? It’s recognised but not able toshiba satellite pro c650 ethernet controller be booted from. Do you have a contdoller up of all your data? So if the solution is to buy a new hard drive eethernet I am happy to get one.
I have taken my HDD out and put it back in to make sure it wasn’t a loose connection, didn’t help. With both of these options you will need to download the drivers for that machine.
Is it possibly faulty? Ok, I managed to work out Hirens, and ran the fujitsu hdd diagnosis test. The number of Toshiba laptops I’ve come across recently with dead hard drives is a worry, it does seem to erhernet a toshiba satellite pro c650 ethernet controller point on them and their diagnostic software is also not very good compared to the likes of Hitachi or maxtor so if you do need to replace the drive I would go for a different make!

Do I work to repair it? Not much use when the HDD fails.
It does recognise my HDD, as it is listed as first booting option on boot manager F12 so it’s not dead. Your notion of toshibba and refit drive was a good one, but if machine is not finding it then a good chance it has died.
You may need these to reinstall from onto your new drive.

As far as I can tell, I have two options: It may not aatellite come with a op system DVd as they often put the tools on a hidden partition on the hard drive. Buy a new hard drive. If toshiba satellite pro c650 ethernet controller did not make the Restore DVD when new and need a new drive then you will need to get a copy of windows 7 oem the same version that was on there ie home premium or ultra etc and use the product key from the sticker on the astellite of the laptop if it is readable if not you will need to buy a new copy of windows.
